Course Description:

This course describes differences between underweight, growth stunting, growth faltering, wasting and failure-to-thrive. It also reviews strategies for measuring pediatric growth and assessing nutritional status, and practices selection and use of growth charts to evaluate nutritional well-being.

Senior Consultant, Division of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, National University Hospital, Singapore

Bio:
Dr. Aw’s areas of focus include childhood nutrition, liver disease, and liver transplantation. She also has a successful multidisciplinary feeding difficulties clinic and is supporting the writing of the ‘growth monitoring guidelines’ in Singapore for the College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
