Third International Summit on Identification and Management of Children with Feeding Difficulties

Miami Florida, USA

The latest clinical advances on the identification and management of children with feeding difficulties were presented in Miami Florida, USA on April 30th – May 1st . More than 75 physicians from Spain, Mexico, Central America, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru and the Caribbean participated in the event. The Summit’s curriculum was developed and presented by a multidisciplinary panel of world renown specialists in pediatrics and child nutrition. In addition, participants were introduced to the IMFeD Grants program – a funding initiative made available exclusively for Summit participants to further enrich the science and knowledge on this topic.

New Report on Increasing Hospital Breastfeeding Rates in the U.S.

This is a report and recommendations from a panel of multidisciplinary health care professionals. It includes a review of objectives, trends, measures, and approaches to increasing U.S. in-hospital breastfeeding rates. Recommendations include individualizing care; improving timing, quality, and availability of breastfeeding education; establishing breastfeeding support systems for mothers; adopting guidelines supported by research; and promoting a culture of breastfeeding support. 1st Hospital Nutrition State of the Art Summit
