Course Description:

The goal of this course it to increase recognition of risk factors for lean body mass loss and to provide strategies to increase lean body mass in at-risk patients.

Course Objectives:

By completing this course, participants will:
  • Have increased knowledge regarding the characteristics that increase a patient’s risk for reduced lean body mass
  • Have increased knowledge regarding the methods to promptly and accurately diagnose loss of lean body mass
  • Have increased knowledge regarding the appropriate nutritional support methods to manage lean body mass in patients with acute and chronic conditions while educating patients to enhance adherence
