Novel Technology Solutions in Diabetes Management in Latin America

Dr. Ana Maria Gomez is the head of Endocrinology at the Hospital Universitario San Ignacio, Bogotá, Colombia. She is a professor of medicine at Javeriana University in Bogotá. Dr. Gomez has extensive experience in diabetes and technology, and she has published numerous journal articles and been involved in multiple investigations on these topics.

Dr. Gomez received her MD from the New Granada Military University in Bogotá. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology at the Pontificia Universidad Javeria in Bogotá. Dr. Gomez’s professional affiliations include the Columbian Association of Endocrinology, the Latin American Diabetes Association, the GLED Latin American Group of Epidemiology in Diabetes, and the Columbian Association of Internal Medicine. At the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, she is a clinical researcher and the coordinator of the Diabetes Obesity and Technology Research Group. She is a senior researcher in the Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Columbia.
