Dietary Patterns & Complementary Feeding in Infant and Toddler Nutrition
Between 6 and 24 months of age, the infant/toddler will evolve a stable set of food preferences and eating habits. Complementary feeding (CF) should repeatedly offer the infant/toddler every flavor, taste, and texture of nutrient-rich foods in each of the five food groups. Dr Murray reviews areas for improvement in parent/caregiver CF food selection, with appreciation for added sugar content and diet quality.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Breastfeeding is best for babies and is recommended for as long as possible during infancy.
