Barbara Marriage is the Global Science Lead for Pediatric Specialty Nutrition and Senior Associate Research Fellow. She was previously an Associate Director in Global Regulatory Science and Innovation and Manager of the Pediatric Clinical Nutrition group in Scientific and Medical Affairs. In her present role she is responsible for clinical research and scientific support for the pediatric specialty products globally. Barbara received a BSc in Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph, an MSc in Nutrition and a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta. Before joining Abbott in 2002, she worked for over 20 years as a clinical research dietitian with extensive experience in pediatric nutrition and management of patients and families with inborn errors of metabolism. Her research interests include early programming, childhood obesity, maternal health, allergy and inborn errors of metabolism. Dr Marriage has published over 35 articles in peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters and newsletters, and has given many presentations on nutrition related topics.

Paul Forsythe, PhD

Paul Forsythe is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Principal Investigator at the McMaster Brain-Body Institute, and Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health. He has a strong interest in neural regulation of immunity, which he pursued during his PhD at Queen’s University Belfast and Post-Doctoral studies at the University of Alberta. His current research explores the influence of gut microbes and dietary interventions on the neuro-immuno-endocrine system, with a focus on mechanisms underlying the influence of specific micro-organisms, and their products, on the development and progression of pathophysiological responses including allergy, inflammation and mood disorders.

Karyn Wulf MD, MPH

Karyn Wulf joined Abbott Nutrition as Pediatric Medical Director in 2018 after working clinically for 16 years as a general pediatrician in emergency medicine. She maintains her clinical activities a part-time basis. She attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a dual degree in Medicine and Public Health in 1999. She completed her internship and residency in general pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2002. During her clinical practice Dr. Wulf was involved in medical education and taught medical students, residents and faculty and held faculty appointments at Baylor College of Medicine (2007-2009) and The Ohio State University School of Medicine (2009-2018) prior to her transition to Abbott Nutrition in 2018.
