Course Description:

While the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals are largely unchanged for 2017, the Joint Commission did revise the Elements of Performance related to preventing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) for meeting the goal of reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections. This program has been updated to reflect this change.
The goal of this program is to define and discuss the Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals for 2017, including the problems and concerns that have led to its implementation. The program provides a detailed review of the various patient safety goals that have been identified for implementation, plus the Elements of Performance that will be required to meet these goals.
