Course Description:

In this course, Terry S. Johnson, APN, NNP-BC, ASPPS, CLEC, MN will identify the characteristics that have shaped the Millennial generation and the Gen Z family around their healthcare choices; discuss the dynamics between the Millennial/Gen Z patient and their healthcare professional; and describe the differences between providing healthcare equality and healthcare equity. Terry S. Johnson is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of clinical experience and is the founder of Lode Star Enterprises, Inc., a professional practice service. Her clinical experience has encompassed the NICU, Special Care, Normal Newborn Nursery, and Developmental Follow-up Services. A nationally known speaker and educator, Terry was a 2007 fellow in the National Patient Safety Fellowship through the Research and Educational Trust and the American Hospital Association. She is a current member of the Society of Professionals in Patient Safety. Terry was the 2006 recipient of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses Leadership Award and served on AWHONN’s initial Advisory Committee for Care of the Late Preterm Infant. She serves as a consultant to healthcare systems, perinatal advocacy organizations, professional practice groups, as well as numerous healthcare industry partners.
