Course Description:

In this updated course, Heaven Holdbrooks, PNP, CNS, RNC-NIC will review the importance of sensory development & neuroprotective care; describe the positive & negative sensory experiences in the NICU & how providers can impact them; define what is cue-based care and infant-driven feedings; evaluate the literature on cue-based and infant-driven feedings; and describe the steps needed to implement an individualized feeding program in your unit.

She has worked in the NICU for the past 10 years and is well-versed in quality improvement initiatives. She is passionate about improving the health and well-being of children and their families.
