Course Description:

Reid Sutton, MD will describe characteristics and use of common biochemical genetic tests; identify patterns of amino acids associated with phenylbutyrate therapy; list strategies employed in the management of tyrosinemia type I; and more! Reid Sutton, MD, is a clinical geneticist and clinical biochemical geneticist, also holding the position of Professor of Molecular & Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine located in Houston, Texas. At Texas Children's Hospital, he is the Chief of the inborn errors of metabolism service, and at Baylor Genetics, he serves as the Medical Director of the biochemical genetics laboratory. Dr Sutton's passion lies in the study and treatment of inborn errors of metabolism and skeletal dysplasia, both in clinical and research settings.
