Course Description:
In this course, Dana Gershenoff, MS, RD, CDCES, and Holly Willis, PhD, RD will describe the clinical benefits of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in people with diabetes using the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) Report; examine the role of nutrition interventions on glycemic management in people with diabetes; and discuss the practical application of integrating CGM and nutrition intervention for optimal glycemic management. Dana Gershenoff, MS, RD, CDCES
Dana Gershenhoff is the program manager at the Park Nicollet International Diabetes Center. She has a diverse background in sales, marketing, and financial analysis. In 2013 she decided to make a career change after experiencing the early loss of a family member with diabetes. Her desire to make a difference in the lives of others led her to pursue a master’s in nutrition. She has worked in the field of diabetes education as an education manager, a certified diabetes educator, an insulin pump trainer, and a health and wellness coach. In her current role at the Park Nicollet International Diabetes Center, Dana provides diabetes education training for healthcare and industry professionals with a focus on diabetes technology devices.
She manages and facilitates programs that include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver professional training programs for diverse audiences. In addition, she translates evidence-based recommendations, diabetes technology, and findings from quality improvement initiatives into patient and professional education resources and training programs.
