While the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals are largely unchanged for 2017, the Joint Commission did revise the Elements for Performance related to preventing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) for meeting the goal of reducing the risk of healthcare-associated infections. This program has been updated to reflect this change.

The program provides a detailed review of the various patient safety goals that have been identified for implementation, plus the Elements of Performance that will be required to meet these goals.
