Jane Schlezinger, RD, BSc, PGCert. Allergy
North Middlesex Hospital
Jane is a highly experienced paediatric dietitian and has worked with infants and children for over 20 years. She qualified from Kings College London where she completed her clinical training at the University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
She has worked for many years as the lead specialist paediatric allergy dietitian within a busy, acute paediatric allergy service in London.
Jane has established a very successful community paediatric allergy dietetic service within multidisciplinary children’s services and presented her work at the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Conference 2019.
Jane has developed an interactive educational programme for teenagers living with peanut allergy to help reduce accidental, life-threatening allergic reactions.
Jane has also project-led audits in GP practices into cow’s milk protein allergy. Her work has been presented to clinical commissioning groups and resulted in raising funds for additional paediatric allergy dietitians.
Jane has sat on advisory boards for medicine management and contributed to appropriate prescribing guidelines in local clinical commissioning groups.
Jane is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Allergy at Southampton University.
