In this course, Philip Atherton, PhD will describe the importance of muscle in patients with respiratory disease; explain how muscle is lost, the detrimental consequences of muscle loss, and why maintaining and rebuilding muscle can improve outcomes for these subgroups; and review nutritional interventions to support patients in maintaining muscle.
