Sharon is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), with a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition and Applied Physiology from Columbia University. She is certified in Levels 1 and 2 of the Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as certified in LEAP (Lifestyle, Eating and Performance), a blood test that addresses food sensitivities related to irritable bowel syndrome, migraines and fibromyalgia. She has worked in nutrition research at Stanford University and Tufts University focusing on weight loss, strength training and bone density in the aging population. She has co-authored two weight loss books and has contributed to both scientific and lay public publications.
