Michelle Doran, RN, MS
Ms Doran is a Professional Development Specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She has 20 years of clinical and administrative leadership experience in pediatrics and maternal-child health in various settings, including primary care, acute care, school nursing, academic medical centers, pediatric rehabilitation, and the health plan industry. Ms Doran earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from James Madison University, and a bachelor of science from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, where she concentrated in community health and participated in the AmeriCorps program. She received a master’s degree in nursing from Regis College in Weston, MA, with a specialty in Nursing Leadership and is pursuing her doctorate in nursing practice degree from The George Washington University School of Nursing. Ms Doran is a manuscript reviewer for Wolters Kluwer health publications and has consulted for several healthcare organizations on Magnet, Baby Friendly, and Transition to Practice programs for newly licensed nurses. She is an active member of the Organization of Nurse Leaders in New England, the Association of Nursing Professional Development, and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing.
