Caroline Steele, MS, RD, CSP, IBCLC, FAND
Caroline Steele, MS, RD, CSP, IBCLC, is Director of Clinical Nutrition & Lactation Services at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, California. She is responsible for operations and research initiatives, as well as educational programs. Ms. Steele earned her bachelor of science degree in food science and human nutrition from Washington State University, which named her Home Economist of the Year. She earned her master’s degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics from Finch University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. She is board certified as a specialist in pediatric nutrition (CSP) and is international–board‐certified as a lactation consultant (IBCLC).
Before Children’s Hospital, Ms. Steele, was a neonatal academic specialist for Mead Johnson Nutrition. In this position, she provided clinical education for health care professionals and served as the neonatal resource specialist for level III NICUs. Prior to that, her positions included neonatal intensive care dietitian, enteral program consultant, and director of nutrition at various facilities in Washington.
Caroline is the co-author of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics book, “Infant and Pediatric Feedings: Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities.” She has many professional publications including articles on human milk analysis, breast milk bar coding, infant formula preparation, and enteral feedings during the transition from the NICU to home. She is a well sought-after speaker and has presented her knowledge on the topic of infant nutrition throughout her career.

Caroline Steele, M. Sc., Dt. P., CSP, IBCLC, est directrice des services de nutrition clinique et d’allaitement au Children’s Hospital of Orange County, situé dans la ville d’Orange, en Californie. Elle est responsable des opérations et des activités de recherche, ainsi que des programmes de formation. Mme Steele possède un baccalauréat ès sciences en science alimentaire et nutrition humaine de la Washington State University, qui l’a nommée Home Economist of the Year. Elle est également titulaire d’une maîtrise en nutrition clinique et diététique, qu’elle a obtenue à la Finch University of Health Sciences à Chicago, en Illinois. Elle a déjà publié de nombreux écrits, notamment des articles portant sur l’analyse du lait maternel, l’utilisation de codes à barres pour le lait maternel, la préparation des préparations pour nourrissons et le recours à l’alimentation entérale pendant la transition de l’USIN à la maison. Il s’agit d’une conférencière très recherchée, qui a propagé ses connaissances au sujet de l’alimentation des nourrissons tout au long de sa carrière.
