Clinical Nutrition Week 2017, the scientific and clinical conference of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), took place in Orlando, Florida, from February 18th through February 21st.

Speakers shared insights on many important topics in nutrition, such as the increasing prevalence of sarcopenia as a nutritional health problem; the current trends in nutrition education for physicians and its impact on nutrition care in hospitals; strategies from the new field of ‘Precision Medicine’; the potential of high-protein nutritional supplements containing HMB to improve outcomes in patients with cardiopulmonary disease; the economic burden of malnutrition; and much more.
