Nancy is a Perinatal Clinical Nurse specialist with over 35 years' experience in caring for women with normal and complicated pregnancies. As an Affiliate Instructor, University of Washington School of Nursing, and a former Teaching Associate in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Washington Medical School, she has actively focused on multi-disciplinary education and collaboration. Nancy is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and consultant on nursing care of women in labor and birth, fetal monitoring, and patient safety. She is an active member in the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), contributing to various position statements, evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, and co-editing and authoring chapters in AWHONN’s Perinatal Nursing, as well as authoring chapters in AWHONN's books, Fetal Heart Monitoring Principles and Practice. She is an Editorial Board member for the American Journal of Maternal-Child Nursing (MCN). Nancy received her Master of Nursing from Perinatal CNS Program, University of Washington, and is NCC certified. She is passionate about the quality of perinatal care through current evidence-based clinical practice.

Heaven Holdbrooks is a Clinical Nurse Specialist working in a level III NICU in Southern California and is board certified as a neonatal nurse. She obtained her BSN at the University of California, Irvine, and her MSN at the University of California, Los Angeles with a clinical focus on Clinical Nurse Specialist and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in the NICU for the past 10 years and is well versed in quality-improvement initiatives. She is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
