Abstract:

Older adult malnutrition persists as a growing crisis in America today and is exacerbated by global health pandemics that can intensify disparities and social isolation. Defeat Malnutrition Today, Avalere Health, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders have worked to release the National Blueprint: Achieving Quality Malnutrition Care for Older Adults, 2020 Update.

In the updated Blueprint, you’ll find strategies to improve health outcomes for older adults by addressing malnutrition care across the continuum of acute, post-acute, and community settings. These strategies are aimed at policymakers, organizations, healthcare providers, patients and caregivers.

Support for the Blueprint was provided by Abbott.
