In this course, you’ll identify children that may require tube feeding; recognize influencing factors for proper tube selection and placement; discuss nutritional challenges; and review how to care for the tube feeding site.Course Objectives:

Course Instructor Bio(s)
Carole Rudman, RN, MSN, PN
Carole Rudman, RN, MSN, PNP is a Pediatric Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner with 29 years of professional practice devoted to pediatrics. She has focused on Pediatric GI and her primary interest is on growth and development associated with nutrition and the relationship to GI conditions.
Carole received her BSN from Northeastern University and her MSN from Boston College. She worked for many years at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston as an RN on the pediatric units caring for children from birth through adolescence. She also spent a few years in the outpatient gastroenterology clinic where she assisted with procedures as well as clinic patients and worked on research studies. Carole worked as an NP for Massachusetts General Hospital as well as a private practice. She spent 5 years at New Hampshire Hospital for Children and served as an NP, research coordinator and was on the hospital IRB.
