Abbott Summit: HMO—The Next Frontier in Pediatric Nutrition
ANHI Symposium: Emerging Research on HMO and Pediatric Nutrition
Experts in clinical immunology and human milk biochemistry gathered to discuss infant gut and immune health, with a focus on human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), the third most abundant solid component of human milk. The Abbott Summit provides an overview of immunology, the role of HMOs in supporting the developing immune system in the gut, and emerging clinical evidence that HMOs may contribute to reduced infections and allergy.
The ANHI Symposium features a lecture that showcases the application of high throughput molecular methods to identify HMO binding partners and mechanisms of HMO action in both the gut and systemic circulation.
