Course Description:

In this course, Francisco Tarazona, MD, will identify the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and associated geriatric syndromes in older adults; describe the management of T2DM; and discuss the key components of the nutritional approach for patients with T2DM. Dr Tarazano’s research interests include frailty, glycemic control, osteoporosis, and integrated multi-component physical exercise in older adults. A member of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SEGG) and the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EUGMS), Dr Tarazona is a regular speaker at scientific meetings as well reviewer of several scientific journals.
